Which Projector for the price?

OK, I realise this is somewhat subjective and also a "how long is a piece of string" kind of question, but I thought id throw it out there to all of you who have projectors or more knowledge of them than me at present.

I have £2000 to (a maximum of) £2500 to spend on a projector. I want HD obviously, and as for DLP or LCD dont particularly have a preference.

It will be for my loft conversion/Home Cinema room and will be for a screen around 80" in size and will be mounted around 12ft away from the screen.
I will use it to play standard DVD's, Xbox360 games, and sometimes HD DVD's as I get them.

Obviously the cheaper the better but I really want to buy something that will give an excellent impression.

What are your suggestions?

Thank you all in advance for any advice! :smashin:

PT-AE1000 or if you can stretch your budget a bit the Sony Pearl. Although if you hunt around you can find the Pearl for less than £2500 for B grade stock.
