I've currently got a Denon AVC-10SE and am looking to add the extra rear channels but need a power amp to do so. I was wondering what kit I should be looking to audition?

A lot obviously depends on budget.....if you're looking to another 2 channels of power amp, then in the lower price bracket you have NAD,Rotel,Arcam and similar, with good sound quality and load tolerance, moving up from there, consider things like smaller Brystons...good value and excellent sound.

Would be prepared to spend up to about £750, any recommendations in this price range?

Arcam do a number ranging from £500 to £850 covering your requirements, and the Rotel 1070 and 1080 fall into the same bracket.

Both are good, solid performers, with decent sound quality, but be sure to listen to them, and as many others as you can before buying.

    Hello Henry

We have a great offer on the Flying Mole DAD-M100proHT mono amplifiers in the Power Buy section.

Two of these diminutive digital amps are well worth a listen - I have a pair we can send you if you want a home trial.

    See http://www.flyingmole.co.jp/en/products/dadm100pro/index.html

    Best regards

    Joe

Cheers. :smashin: I'm looking at which speakers I'm going to get for the extra rear effects channels. Then I'll look to audition. Have posted in "Speakers" section. Will get back to you as soon as I've got the speakers sorted.
