Hi guys, i'm new on this forum and have very little knowlegde on plasma tvs.
I'm looking to get a new plasma tele but have no idea which on to get.
I have an unlimited budget, so was wondering whats the best 42" or 50" plasma tele that money can buy at the moment? Or is there one that i should wait for?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

If i had unlimited funds i have a nice projector.

But if i wanted a plasma id have a Pioneer pdp-5000ex.

I've found one for £5887.00. So its quite cheap really :rotfl:

But thats just my personal opinion.

Good look and let us know how you get on.

With unlimited funds, the choices are wide.

Decide on what size you want and go from there. For example at 50" you could buy a Panasonic PF9 (£4500) which is a full 1920 x 1080 panel; The Pioneer 500EX also a 1920 x 1080 panel, or the Fujitsu 50" which I believe is 1366 x 768. However be aware that the Fujitsu despite its lower resolution will probably give you the best picture quality at normal viewing distances. It also costs a little less than the others too.

Nice position to be in, may I suggest you take your time and find a reputable dealer who can demonstrate them all to you. There are one or two on these forums who could help relieve you of a sizeable chunk of cash :) and have excellent reputations.
What matters is what looks best to you.

It's got to be one of the 50PF9 or the 5000EX

Allegedly the new Fujitsu Aviavo (hope that spelling is correct) plasmas which hit the market soon are meant to be benchmark setters in terms of picture quality. There's a thread about them somewhere on here.

    Not cheap mind you.

The "Best" 42 inch would be the Fujitsu 42XHA58EB in most people's opinion.

If you want 42 why dont you try the pionner PDP-4270XD.
Or if your not fussy there are some very nice new Lcd's on the market that are 1080p.

I have a nice denon amp with Kef 2005. Which have never let me down yet.

But just depends on the size of your room.

Go down to your local showroom and test out all the different mix's of amps and speakers.

£1.500 I can spend a bit more if I am positive it worth it.
    I don't understand that 1080 thing. Sorry :(
