    Many thanks,
    Ray.

    Hi Ray.

It's very difficult to answer your question without more info.

We'll need to know what you intend to watch on the screen, Sky, freeview, dvd, xbox 360 e.t.c. How much of each you'll watch.

The gear you already have, like 5.1 system, sky, freeview, e.t.c.

Is HD on your wanted list?

What size are you looking for?

Have you considered other types of TV? (LCD, Rear projection, projector.)

The forums are a brilliant source of information but you need to be more specific because everyone's requirements are different.

I just got one of these too. It's a quality screen at a fantastic price. Meets everything you need IMO.

Got it from here - http://www.tvandvideodirect.com/product.php?xProd=1733

I paid £1433 inc delivery, but as you can see now its £1350, plus about 35-50 quid delivery. I only bought mine last week! I'm not bothered in the slightest though cos I expected this to happen. They've been dropping for weeks and its basically coming down i price weekly, if not daily ,because new Hitachi's are about to be released. I took the plunge cos I feared once the stock is gone, thats it and your back up to about 1600, 1700 quid for as good a plasma.

Its got great reviews on here and most home cinema places. IMO, GO GET ONE NOW. In fact, there's about 4 or 5 of us on here that have got one/going to get when over the last few days!

Yeah, it can be wall mounted (your previous respondant Rickyjohn is doing exactly that (see thread: Rickyjohn where are you?) and indeed the speakers are detachable. I have seen some wall mounted examples both with and without the supplied speakers and both look awesome.

As CFC1 says, getting mine mounted on Friday. You should use the Hitachi bracket PWT002 if you do (about £100) but others may also fit.

When wall mounted, these look better with the side speakers detached IMO. However, they look quite nice speakers and my fitter is going to fix them to the two front corner walls of the room as the two front speakers (I've got a surround sound system). If you haven't got a surround sound system, you'll obviously need to keep the speakers attached to the plasma.
