    Hi Guys/Gals

Im moving house and have decided to make one of the bedrooms into a games room. i currently have a Sony PFM42B2 in the lounge for TV etc but im wanting a not so expensive one for gaming and the odd TV stuff, mainly playing XBOX (have HDTV Cable) etc.

Im not fussed about the make or the connections as the sony i have only has DVI.. i can pick up one of thous RGB-DVI Connectors up for a fiver the only preferance i do have is the colour 'silver' and the size 42".

so my quiestion is which would you reccomend for playing games.. fast movements.. vivid colours etc.

i have been looking at the following models and im trying to stay below the £1700 mark

Richer sounds is a favourite of mine for hi-fi kit so naturally i have checked there for plasmas. below are the models i have notice. feel free to suggest others if you thing they would be better.

    Lg MZ42PZ45V Silver - Richer sounds £999.00
    Panasonic TH-42PWD7BS - AV-Sales £1542.99
    Samsung 42" Plasma PPM42S3Q - Aria £1395.00
    Panasonic TH42PWD6BX - Richer sounds £1249.95

    thanks guys

    Alex

all I know is, i'll be on the blower to avsales pretty soon for a panny 7 off them.
i'd do the same if i were you at this budget.
All these people can't be wrong, saw one running the two towers DVD today for the first time, looked sweet as a nut.

general consensus of opinion is that there isn't a lot of difference between the two. just a newer model is all, so very slight changes in technologies.

I'm off to see Hayes at av-sales for a demo of the PWD7 and VR5 tomorrow. When I spoke to him the other day about the diffs between the PW6 and PW7 he reeled off quite a few differences so I'm not sure its as little as people think. I'm sure it has been well documented in other threads on here.
