Hi, I'm thinking of getting a 42inch plasma screen. I need one to connect up to my PC through DVi or standard VGA(preferable). I'm just not sure which would be the better screen for this. I'm thinking of the "Panny" 500 or Hitachi (Hitchy??) 7200.

Will the PC pics fill the whole screen or just give me a 4:3 picture like it does on my PC monitor. Is it easy to watch .avi films on the plasmas this way?

    Help!

    Regards

Did the divx movie fill the whole screen? or was it 4:3 with borders?

    dilsher, which software?

I'd like to connect my pc into the plasma, but concerned about picture stretching - PC running at 1024x768 (4:3) onto widescreen plasma also 1024x768 - how does it work?

I'm sure you have chosen plasma for a reason but if it will be heavily used for PC use than a LCD TV is more suited.

Sorry if I am being thick, but isn't DScaler used for capturing external sources on your PC and scaling them for display on a plasma/screen?

All I want to do is to see the windows desktop (and hence be able to use IE etc) on my plasma without the picture appearing stretched due to the rectangular pixels of the plasma...

Powerstrip looks like the kind of thing though.
