    Froggins,

That 32" Sony is a good one. Others to consider would be the Phillips 9965 or the Hitachi 32PD3000.

In that size range you could also consider LCD. Lots of threads about pros and cons of LCD vs. Plasma.

Does it have to be plasma? At 30", the Philips pixel plus LCD TV looks really good.

    Philip,

I'm not sure about the LCD's as i have heard mixed reports about them and am concerned about the advancement of LCD within the next 12 months
i.e. i will be buying old technology

Just out of interest, why no larger than 32", the price difference between 32" and 42" isn't that great and in my opinion, 42" is far better value. Or is it just a space issue you have??

Unfortunatley it's due to the wife, we have 2 lounges but she wants the plasma in the smaller room due to it being more cosy!
I have a 28" Sony Wega Trinitron in the other room with a Sony DAV500 system attached so it suits the roon on sound!
Don't you just hate it when that happens!
I think i am going to go for the 32 Sony, does anybody know where to get the optional glass stand from?
Don't really want to pay 400-500 squid?

    I've got the KE32TS2 and it's excellent.

Running DVD, Sky + and X box through it.

It's a pain in the backside to wall mount though! but you're looking for the stand so that won't be a problem for you!

Maybe it's a space problem for you in which case I can understand but other than that I would never consider a 32" plasma screen over a direct view CRT for two reasons,
You can actually buy a 36" CRT for less than the price of a 32" plasma
At the moment at least, CRT's have superior picture quality
Often the supposed space saved at the rear of the screen is negated by the stand you need to place the plasma on anyway.
However, there's no denying the tech appeal of a flat display!
