Luckily I have been delayed at home, was going to get the JVC last week, the panny has just appeared. Having read such glowing reviews from the majority of members it seems the logical choice. Anyione have any views on the extended guarantee for 3 years for 199?

the panny PWD6 isnt graded, brand new at £2k. That said you will need a mount and video card which could cost you £300 more..... also it isnt available until the 20th of May

When you say video card, is that for connecting up to different sources? if so I rang them today and was told it would be ready for any type of input plus comes with a tuner. Not absolutely convinced by salesman as they do not have any in stock until the 20th.

he is talking nonsense. The TH42PWD6BX that they advertise does NOT include any video board, any tuner, any speakers or any stand. This model number is ONLY for the screen. The only connection it will have is vga and to use this you will either need to utilise a pc or some form of video processor or converter.

The screen described sound alot like the TH42PA20.....

Won't be the first time someone at Richer sounds has been talking nonsense. I have an Iscan pro currently connected to my Panny AE100. Would this route, via the vga port give me the best picture.
