Which Pioneer DVD Recorder is better?

I'm looking at purchasing one of these:

Aside from the size of the HD (160 VS 250), which is better and why? Just trying to make sure I'm choosing the best one overall. I don't know a thing about High Def but is one more capable/better choice when considering this?

Also worth comparing the Sony RDR-HXDx70 series, these are made by Pioneer and are essentially the same although Sony one's don't record to DVD-RAM, these may be cheaper and the remote is often preferred over the Pioneers.
