Hi all,
My Pc's just on it's last legs and I'm after one that supports HD 1080p so I can download HD content and watch it on mt Sony 40X. Not looking to spend too much cash, and also would like it to support media centre so I can link it to my Xbox.
Cheers,
Help would be much appreciated.

All graphics cards support 1920*1080p Even one from 7 years ago would be able to display that res no problem.

All modern ones will output over DVI which can (with a DVI-HDMI lead) plug straight into the HDMI on the 40X and show the full res.

Now, if you want to play some varieties of 1080i/p content you're going to need some "grunt" but with the current codecs this tends to fall to the processor (the acceleration in the cards is not always utilised well).

So, any half decent Sub £100 card should do you (the ATI cards do have h264 acceleration) but also take a look at your processor.
