    Hi,

Recently swapped out a stereo system to some old Logitech Z323's I had kicking about due to changing to an electric sit/stand desk.

They are OK but I think I want better speakers.

I will just have one PC connecting to it for gaming and music, and a POD X3 for guitar / audio production (just for fun so studio quality does not need to apply here).

Having spent a couple of days, I think I have it down to a shortlist of 4.

    Creative Labs Kratos S5 (2.1)
    Creative Labs Gigaworks T40 S2 (2.0)
    Audioengine A2+ (2.0)
    Logitech Z906 (5.1)

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any of these and can shed additional light on them or if I am missing anything out for looking in to?

All of them have the connectivity I want, but all of them have really mixed reviews which is really not helping me pick which way to go.

    Thanks is advance.

I bought the kratos S5 during Amazon prime sales two weeks ago. I've yet to actually plug them in but all the reviews I read pointed to them being the best quality in the price bracket. I had also considered the razor sound bar but it was double the price.

Still don't know what I am doing... I have stared looking at the Edifier S760D sets now... the main problem I have with that is the size of the rear speakers for where they have to go and the size of the sub. God this is hard work.

Very different price bracket so it just depends on what you want. Been many many years since I bothered with 5.1 for my pc, I prefer a setup like that for the main room but as ever it depends on what your wanting to go for!
