    Hi,

Hopefully there is nothing against forum rules in this question.

I used to use: eDonkey for Movies & Software and Kazza Lite for single MP3 files.

But since my new broadband installation I've found eDonkey and Shareazza very slow and I cant get hold of Kazza Lite.

I have tried Bit Torrent, but would prefer something where I can leave a few files on download whilst I'm at work.

I would like to know the general opionion on what's the best P2P for downloading:

    Movies?
    Software?
    Single MP3 files?

    Cheers,
    G

Use bittorrent for most things, for songs use DC++ or Bittorrent and don't use Kazaa full of fake music now .

I use WinMX for P2P duties... Very good for music etc, and dosn't have anywhere near as much spyware as Kazza.

    Regards,
    Iain.

I wouldn't bother with P2P at all myself.

Have been using Easynews for two years now. Replicates the contents of usenet binary newsgroups over the last four weeks.

Works out about £5 a month at current exchange rates for 10gb of downloads.

Always get a constant 230k+ download speed from here with my 2Mb connection.

    Can't recommend it enough.

    Hi,

Agree with pringtef about the newsgroups. Call me paranoid but I'm just too wary to allow other people to download things off my computer!

pringtef - you may want to look changing your newsgroup provider (depending on what you download). I'm with newshosting.com using their unlimited account. Approx £10 a month with no caps (very useful for HDTV). Never had any problems with incompletes etc. It maxes out my 1Mb connection and reviews I saw before I joined said that it reaches around 3-3.5Mb/sec per account.

Gagan26Leeds - download newsleecher (30 day trial from newsleecher.com) and sign up to a decent newsserver for a month and see how you get on.
