    Hi

With a budget of about £400, I am looking to get a new system. Could anyone recommend the best system I can get at the moment for my money.

Also, are there any deals on a seperate amp and speakers about.

    Cheers

    Jase

Have you thought about the DENON ADVM71 available from Superfi for about 400.

Not a true surround-sound system, but I think I'm gonna go for one cos I don't want speakers all over the place in my front room . . .

    Cheers,
    Gorilla.

I am completely new to this, is the £250 offer from the link to Richer sounds a good one? Are the DVD, receiver and speakers reasonably good or is it worth the extra £100 to go for the £350 deal?

Well i went for the pioneer all in one system and it is as good as it gets for the money, i paid £299 and it is well worth the money seeing as it is usually £599.

Brilliant sound and picture and what home cinema gave it 95% in its review!

I got one of these a few days ago mate - it is loud as hell (1kW!) and has a nice detailed sound.

BUT points to note - no digital inputs, no experience with this to know if this is the norm with all-in-ones. there are a couple of stereo inputs. If anyone can suggest a way to get surround fed in from an external source then please do! (need to connect PC EAX soundblaster 5.1 card)

Stands are smart, but speakers can be wall mounted (slots on rear) - although no wall bracket supplied

The amp is in the sub, as are all spker connections, again not sure if this is standard but you get about 3meters on the deicated multiway lead that goes to the player (provides power to player as well).

    Has component output.

ships in a box so big I thought it came with a free rear PJ TV!

happy to help if you need any more info
