I'm in the market for an LCD TV.

Of the following 3 which would you choose?

    SAMSUNG LE 26R41B from £590

    SHARP LC 26GA5E from £560

    JVC LT26A60 from £635

All are [according to the specs] 1366 x 768 have a contract ratio of 800:1.

The JVC has a response time of 7ms.

Any way which one would you choose?

By the way I'm only using it for watching TV programs. As I have a cable set top box (Telewest) I won't be using a standard ariel etc.

    Thanks

Interested in HD or just SD for the next 2-3 years? If SD only, then Sharp's new P50 would be worth a look at. Designed specifically for SD, but can downscale a HD signal and display it.
Equally, with new GA6 coming in the next couple of weeks, you might be best to hold out until then before making a move.
JVC - very good brand - impressed me plenty with last year's models. Expect this year's to do similarly.
For me, it'd be between Sharp and JVC.

    Cheers for the reply.

To be honest I'm not really after the latest technology so the more basic set up would be fine - as long a the picture quality is good.

Cost is the major factor here - £600 being my budget.

I chose these 3 'cos they looked the highest specs for the money, however if you know of anything better to consider - 26/27" max - please let me know.

    Cheers.
