Which New Samsung Phone?

Hi all,

The wife's mobile contract is up very soon and she's looking to upgrade her Samsung E900.

She has a soft spot for Samsung phones and would like to get another.

After a quick browse of some of the latest Samsung phones available, she's got it between the D840 and the F300.

Does anyone have either or can anyone give any feedback on these or any other models she should look at please?

Many thanks.

Gaz

U600 is a nice phone and decent, camera is good and memory is expandable.

I am waiting for the new U700. Does anyone know if there is a release date yet

Ordered my U600 today, should be coming tomorrow if i dont miss the carrier! I will let you know how it is when I get it. I also get a Free Wii with it so I'm over the moon about it. - Will check in tomorrow with a review. :hiya: first post :smashin:

I very much doubt the Wii was free, it will be paid for by bumped up line rental or it will be an 18 month contract

"Free" gifts with phones are never "Free"

Retailers get paid to sign you up to a monthly contract, whether this be in a shop or from a website. The internet shops offering free gifts are using the dosh they get to add incentives (operating at a lower per-unit profit but aiming for more sales) as well as subsidising the phone.

The commission the network operator gives the retailer varies from tariff to tariff and they often have some on promotion where the commission is higher, so these are used to give greater incentives. It does not necessarily mean a higher rental or an 18month contract, and you are not any worse off than going on the same tariff at another store without the free gifts.

As to the Wii - just looked there are several places offering a free Wii, free phone, and a £30 12 month contract - so not bumped up nor 18 month.

Here endeth :lesson:
