    Hi Guys,
Probably like most of you I have numerous USB discs and HDD's full of MP3's. I have a couple of Roku soundbridges and I would like to find something similar that has :

USB connection for portable HDD and memory sticks, auto detection of directories etc, playlists maybe
    Optical digital out
    Analog Audio L/R
    Reasonable quality.....
    Small size
    Ethernet not so important...

    Any suggestions ?:)

    And thanks in advance

It's rare for an MP3 player or streamer to have USB external drive support for a number of reasons, your best bet is to look into NAS's - which would work with your Roku's too.

Thanks for the reply, I have a NAS (QNAP) which works well. The reason for the request is convenience, I have USB in the car and would be very convenient to bring the stick indoors and plug in, there are a few low quality boom boxes out there with USB but nothing half reasonable...

have you looked at the TEAC CR-H255?

Fulfills some of your criteria. It's basically a micro Hifi with a USB port so you can connect external HD or MP3 player...

Thanks for the suggestion looks nice. Do you have one ?

If so how is the id3 tag support / display ?
Have you had any issues with recognising USB discs ?

    Thanks in advance:thumbsup:
