Hi

i’m looking for a new tv and have found some goodish deals given the time of year. Can anyone help me out?

Sony 65” KE65XH9005BU Costco with 5 Year Warrant

Samsung Q90t 65” John Lewis with 5 Year Warranty £1250

Samsung Q95T 65” Samsung Direct £1189 1 Year Warranty

With Costco I think that you have to remain a member for the warranty to be valid
I’d choose JL for that reason
How much is the 65” 9505, much better TV than 9005. Free sound bar this weekend, could easily sell to recoup the difference...£1399

What is the difference between the two Sony models?

Have you read the guide?
The big difference is HDR handling...one can, the other not so much
9005 mid tier, 9505 high and the 90T premium tier (has hdmi 2.1 for gaming)

The 9005 JL price is a bit over my budget, its a good deal with the sound bar though.

im looking at 1200 max

You mean 9505.
Samsung is far better than 9005 for another £50

Sorry forgot to mention the

Sony 65” KE65XH9005BU Costco is £869 so quite a saving

Definitely go for the Sony XH9505 or Samsung Q90T if you can. The XH9005 doesn't make the cut with HDR, so won't make for a very future proof TV if you intend to use the TV for streaming/gaming/UHD Blu-Rays.

Q95T is the same TV as the Q90T but with a one connect box. If you buy direct from Samsung you miss out on the extended warranty, but it shouldn't matter since very few TVs break at all, let alone outside of the first year.

If you are going to be using mostly SDR both now and in the future the Sony XH9005 is fine.

I want to wall mount so thinking q95t is a good option and cheaper than than q90t albeit with less warranty?

First read Samsung 2020 models thread on this forum!
Otherwise see deals posted on Sony XH9505 particularly by bojangles

Managed to get a Q95T for £1258 in clearance at John Lewis with the 5 Year Guarantee.
