ok I've decide to get the new sony 36 inch and just wondered which mail order co you reccommend .I've read the bad reports about unbeatable (delivery wise) and the prices are all very similar so what do you think?
thanks

I would recommend both the service and price I got from www.webelectricals.co.uk £940 for the kv32fx66. Order before 3pm and it's there the next day - free! Only shortcoming was the slightly limited range offered. Worth a look anyway.

I am the person who started the thread Unbeatable Unbelievable (check it out to see what happened when City Link uplifted the tv yesterday) as I said in it when Unbeatable return my money to my account I will be either going to or phoning my nearest John Lewis and getting the Sony KV36FS76 from them as Aqureshi did (see the thread Sony KV36FS76) he got a price match and got his for £1540 and I am sure that JL includes a 5yr waranty in the price. I phoned my nearest JL store last week and they told me that they expect to have them in stock by the end of this week. Their store in Watford is selling them for about £1650 (see the John Lewis thread) £60 more than Unbeatable but with a 5yr waranty Apparently you can order from a JL store over the phone. CHECK OUT JOHN LEWIS Stay clear of Unbeatable until they get themselves reliable couriers

I second that...

There's no apparently about it by the way, I ordered over the phone from John Lewis with a price match and I'm approx. 50 miles from the store!!

Having read many posts on these forums regarding the subject of online retailers espessially concerning the purchase of a bulky item like a windscreen tv, i would suggest your best bet would be to purchase from a local retailer, prefferably your local specialist hi-fi/home cinema retailer and not one of the big chain's !!

Pay by barclaycard and get them to price match the cheapest online retailer, then you benifit from the price and better service, this forum is littered with posts from people with nightmare stories from people who have been shall we say dissapointed with the service recieved having bought online, and if you have problems with your local retailer im sure he will be falling over himself to ensure your satisifaction if you went in complaining about his service on a saturday afternoon !

In an ideal world every £1000 tv would be perfect but just like British Leyland used to make friday afternoon cars which were a pile of junk so it seems there are friday afternoon tellie's with bundels of problems !!

do all credit cards pricematch or is it just barclaycard , I have mastercard and goldfish
