I just recently bought Rallisport 2, is a great game, a bit tough to start with but it doesn't take long before you're ripping around the track, although I only completed amature tournament so far  .
Oh, and be ready to get thrashed on Live, I had a quick go the other night and man do those guys shift
As for PGR2, I haven't played it myself, I prefer rally to tarmack. For sure either would be a great choice, both seem popular games.

Why not Toca race driver 2??

A joint favourite of mine with PGR2.

TBH Toca 2 and PGR2 are both top quality titles but for fun, I would probably choose PGR2 over TOCA2 as people on TOCA are that bit more, shall we say keen on a clean race where on PGR2 anything goes.
Oh and on PGR2 theres usually barriers to stop u going off whereas in TOCA its usually sandpits which is good for realism but a bummer for "fun" racing.

i'd have to agree with Malone. PGR2 is awseome for a bit of fun, plus the odd good race on the bigger tracks(Nurburg, Red Square, Washington Tour). Whereas TOCA is your more serious racer, for realism, damage etc etc, very very good game, but not as fun as PGR2
