Hi,

This is my first post.

I am looking to purchase two LCD's and have a budget of £4K for the two.

I am wanting to use LCD because it is a very still picture that they will have to display and i think this would burn out a plasma.

I will be feeding a 4:3 ratio to them can anyone recommend a setup that is a decent screen and can put 4:3 into 16:9 easily.

Also who is best to contact about this in the UK.

Many Thanks Mark

Hi Mark

I would personally recommend that you buy a couple of magazines...read the reviews (What Plasma and LCD is a good mag). Also read older reviews on line at their web site.

Also go along to a Specialist store and ask some questions, tell them your requirements and your budget and ask for demonstrations. I would avoid your normal high street shops like Currys, Comet, Dixons etc as they probably won't give you the best advice compared to a Specialist dealer.

You can find most specialist dealers on the net, or the mags have plenty of ads.

There are loads of good well informed people on these Forums and help always seems to be on hand (by the way I do not necessarily put myself in that category). People are a good source to ask what they think, once you have an idea of potentional LCD models that may take your fancy, as you can then ask those who actually own what you are looking at.

Happy hunting.
