Hi i'm thinking of buying an LCD TV for my bedroom.

I'm looking for one around 20" to 23 inch altho would consider a 17" but only if the price was right.

my price range is £500-1000 and would like a proper/decent make.
I would also like the tv to be avail for use for the next 5-10 years.

I would use the LCD TV for watching tv through a sony freeview box, watching dvds (alot) and also playing PS2 too.
iw ould also like 2 scarts if poss too.

I have my dvd player set up through my hi-fi on 5.1 also.

Is there a size limit ?

If not, a grand will buy you a Sharp 26GA4E, 26" widescreen, 2 Scarts, Component In, DVI In, S-Video, Detachable speakers and has a quickshoot option for fast moving images.

The screen resolution is 1366x768, therefore Hi Definition ready and the HDCP compliant DVI input means when Hi Def pictures are sent (Sky 2006, BBC/ITV etc around 2008-2010) you will be able to see these pictures through a Hi Def Set Top Box. (Sky have announced that the STBs for the Hi Def service they will provide will only work with TV with a HDMI port or a DVI port with HDCP. Even though you don't have Sky, Freeview are most likely to go this route too when it comes out).

Best price I've seen is £900 on the internet but John Lewis do them and have also Pricematched at around £950 I think.....

Richie.

I've got a 32" version wall mounted in the lounge. The lounge is 10'x12' that goes into a bay window so it's really 10'x10' square. I would guess your bedroom has to be at least 6'x6' to get a bed in there. I think it would be perfect :)

Buy a wall bracket for £40 from Superfi and you're away !
