    Hi

I am in the market for an 40" LCD TV. I only have SD TV at present, I may purhcase a PS3 soon. I like watching DVD's and will purchase a new DVD player to upscale or may look at a HD DVD later.

I cannot decide on either the Samsung M86 or the Sony W2000

I like the look of the samsung but the Sony is apparently better (if you can find one without clouding issues)

Which one would be better or should I be looking at another set?

    Can you help, please:clap:

well i love the sony's but i have seen the samsung with a bluray player
and it looks good to me and cheaper than the sony so you will have to make your choice,it could be lots of nail biting and knashing of teeth, ask for a dem with a dvd player, sky sd and a hd player of some sort if they refuse find somewhere that does and then look around for the best price, internet :smashin:

Yeah, use your local stores time and money then buy off the net - great advice. As smaller companies charge that little bit more, that covers for advice, time, showroom, staff and power - use all that, then go on the net and get it cheaper because you want to save.

Personally - I reward those companies who give me that time of day with my business.

    :)

Obviously this is less applicable to the large chains.

quite right of course but i was refering to comet/curry's and the like not the small
independant specialist, we have have here in banbury blinkhorn's/overture/buzzards.

overture is more a hifi specialist with av thrown in

yes it is a bit skinflint what i suggested but britain seems to be going that way,
people driving expensive cars with diesel engines etc.

but anyway sony or samsung if you like it then buy it with hopefully good service:thumbsup:
