I have a mate who is in the market for a 37" lcd tv, as I'm a projector owner I have no knowledge of which lcd tv's are best. Must be true hi-def with pc vga input and/or hdmi input, he will be using it in conjunction with a media center 2005 pc as the main tv in his living room. Can anyone suggest which make/model he should go for.

LG is sweet at the moment with PC connectivity. 37LP1D is your model, although you won't find a 37 for that price, a 32 is more likely.

Check out the JVC 37DS6, getting nothing but praise. I've got the 32" version and it's top notch. :)

You could get one of the 40" Sammys for that if you shop around.

Do the current range of lcd's still suffer from smearing on fast scenes as its gonna be used for game playing as well.

My LG 32LP1D looked fine on GTA san andreas and NFS: underground 2 (both PC). I'll do some more testing tonight.
