I was transferred from o2 to Sky and have noticed little if any differences between the 2 ISP's. So I'd say Sky are fine for general usage and if you do peer to peer downloads they are one of the few ISP's that don't throttle the connection.

    Mark.

Been with Plusnet a while and can't fault them.

As with most ISP's I would change the default DNS to get the best speeds

By default most ISP's use their own DNS which are usually slower and throttle certain connection types.

I saw a major decrease in speed in my playstation4 for example.

Using Google's DNS (the best imo) resolved the issues and I get my full speed on every connection type (p2p, gaming, voip, normal downloading)

I have had Virgin, BT, Sky and BT business in the surrey area.
All of them are as bad as each other lol, BT business has the best Customer service and fix any issues within a 48 hr period but i pay a premium to use them.
BT and Sky are more often than not the exact same service just with a different router, (sky's router when i used them was terrible and i had to replace). But I find BT retail support terrible they messed up my order and connection so many times, while sky were at least helpful.
