Hi, About to buy some scart leads for my STB but whats better: RGB Only Scart OR Fully Wired Scart. I know RGB scart can only carry Video but on my STB and TV I have opticle out so would that be best? Thanks
Whilst the "ultimate scart" may be desirable from DVD to large screen I don't think that the picture quality via a STB warrants huge expense and in my opinion something like the Thor scart at £12 to £13 which TV Cables amongst others were selling is more than adequate
9761 Have you tried switching the STB and TV to RGB using your existing cable? RGB only cables can and do produce a sharper image for a lot of folk - you'll spend around £50.00 on a VanDamme, Supra or QED RGB Only cable. If your using the audio on the TV and the TV has an Optical Input that can be associated with the appropriate SCART Input then that should work fine. You can get RGB+Stereo audio cables from VanDamme and Supra - though they are more costly. Best regards Joe
I have used RGB on my current free scart lead that came with my STB and the images is perfect but I didn't know with the RGB only cables I could get even more better picture out of it. I did see somewhere that had an offer on some IXOS RGB only scart cables for £14.99 which look internesting or would I be better off with something like QED,VanDamme or Supra cables? Thanks!
