i've only heard good things about the panasonic

If you are interested in connecting the TV to PC then the Panny is useless (no VGA input). From the other two Sony has the best picture.

Trusted Reviews tests of 32S2010 and Samsung LE32R74BDX:

http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=2977

S series got higher score.

Also "WHAT HOME CINEMA" magazine has a test of 32 inch LCD TVs in the September issue. The results are:

1. ACER AT3205-DTV 83%
2. SAMSUNG LE32R74BDX 93%
3. PHILIPS 32PF7521D 67%
4. SHARP LT-32P70E 83%
5. SONY KDL-32S2010 88%
6. TOSHIBA 32WL66 77%

But Sony 32S2010 is said to have the best picture quality of them all. Samsung only wins for being cheaper.

The Samsung has a far too red and garish image, and poor black response. I'd go for the Panasonic personally, or the Sony if I needed a PC input. Go and see those two and choose for yourself, really...
