The sony has a very ppor contrast ratio 300:1 compared to the benq 2000:1 and from everything I have read you need good contrast for ht. What size screen are you hoping for?

The picture on the Benq is incredible for the money and very bright too.

Between the two it's got to be the Benq based on specs alone but obviously anyone with the Sony may be able to add more to the conversation.

36", it's hardly worth it with a projector at the moment IMO, just get a decent tft screen.

I guess that would be ok for games, very low lumens on it though so you would really need a black room for it, and as it's for games then I don't think it would be much good for films as it would be low contrast.
