Which is better Toshiba xs32 or Pioneer 420?. Then Pioneer costs more and doesn't have progressive scan.

Can anyone help me in my choice?

Not interested in Panasonic cause of RAM.

Sony machines with dual format are just stupid.

And Toshiba doesn't use teletext for titles so you have to enter manually I understand.

Bleak as this is one nice feature of the tosh is that it remembers the last 32 programs. So for repeated programmes f you have totled it, you dont have to typ it in again.

Eg you record a one off Corontationn street at 19:30 on a monday. So you program it and title it. It records and the program disappears. You then want to record it again but every monday So you list the history select it and reprogram it for every monday. It retains the previous title and record settings.

Not as good as an EPG or teletext. But at least if you are clever with your history (its ediotable) you dont have to retitle frequent programmes

Good "cheap" fools. What would have been nice is a PS2/USB port for a keyboard. Especially when the writer of the OS is more than likely microsoft! what happens when teletext/analogue is switched off?

What we need is EPGs like the one on the philips!
