    Hi

Anyone tried the cheaper brands of photo-glossy paper? I do loads of photo printing on my Epson Photo 750. I have used different brands of photo paper ranging from Epson to HP to Kodak to Jessops. So far I've found the Epson and Jessops ones to be the best. However they're all just SO expensive.

There are cheaper papers out there from manufacturers I've never heard of, but don't know which to go for. Any suggestions/recommendations are most welcome, or are there any web-sites with reviews of the papers?

Any thoughts or comments are very welcome!

    Cheers
    Ade

I have had pretty good results with photo paper from Staples, packs of 20 can't remember how much they were, well under a tenner though.
Also try Partners, they are pretty cheap for coated matt paper (100 shts @ £5) and photo paper, not sure of the price.

Try http://www.mx2.org/ they have there own range of papers. I use the Olmec 260gsm gloss photo paper which gives quite good results at £16.99 for 50 sheets.

I use Kodak photo glossy which does me very well [though I don't have a photo inkjet printer], I bought mine when PC World were doing two packs [50 sheets] for the price of one £9.99.

    Bargain.

Have you tried Fuji glossy paper? It is very good. Tesco's are selling it at a bargain price.

I have always found that the paper made by the same people that made the printer give the best results. When I had a Canon printer their paper was the best, now I have an Epson the Canon paper does not look as good.
I haven't bought any photo paper in a while so am unsure of best prices, but have used www.xlshop.com in the past and they have always been good with a large range of paper and inks etc.

I use Ilford satin photo paper with my epson 890, and I really cannot fault it, wilkinsons have it occasionally at £4.99 for 20 sheets, but Staples have it all the time at £9.99 for 20 sheets.

I'm with Mark on this one. The printer settings & inks are designed to work best with their own brand of papers.

I've had very good results from these people

They supply to a lot of reprographic, design and advertising agencies. They do own brand and compatible media. I've been pretty pleased with their own brand material which is a lot cheaper than the OEM stuff that the likes of Canon Epson etc. rip you off with.

I use it with a Canon I9100 A3 printer to produce proofs for clients.
