I've decided to buy some AKG K702s and I need a headphone amp to power them.

The headphones will be connected to my Panasonic AIO home cinema kit via the headphone socket.

The bass is lacking due to the limitations of the headphone socket, so ideally need an amp with bass boost.

The amp will need to have a 3.5 mm input socket and powered from the wall.

I was initially going to buy this amp but it lacks tone control, would the bass be enhanced if I used this?

I have a budget of ~£60. I really don't want to spend a fortune so I have this budget.

    Thanks.

    Hello

Hopefully you've found a solution to your problem by now but if not, here are my thoughts.

The headphones you have are notoriously bass light. Software or hardware EQ is the only way you are going to solve that. As an alternative to the amp you have there I suggest this one:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-E11-A3-Portable-Amplifier-Headphones-black/dp/B00Z9BIODA/

and an adapter like this if required
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-flexible-adapter-6-35mm-561035-Black/dp/B010FTO1LO/

The amp is "portable" but plug in a phone charger to the wall and you're good to go plus it has bass boost. Fiio make better quality products than smsl.

I think you need to look at your source, then amp. I would wait a bit, and spend lot more.

    Maybe buy potable audio player.
