    I'm gonna sell my pioneer vsx-915 and am looking for a new receiver, which should have the following specs:

    * at least 2 hdmi in, 1 out (2 out would be bliss)
    * at least 3 component in, 2 out (1 could be ok, but 2 is preferable)
    * hdmi audio processing, so I can output audio via the receiver and video the the hdmi output (so audio should NOT be forwarded to for example plasma tv)
    * decent processing and power
    * programmable remote (not a must)

    Currently, I'm looking at the Marantz SR5001, although it's a little above my budget. But this one does have 2 component out which is very handy for my Xbox360 (both on Pioneer and Optoma HD70). I would use the HDMI switching for a PS3 (bluray video on projector, audio via receiver) and an upscaling Pioneer HDMI player.

    My gear:
    * xbox360 component
    * pioneer HDMI dvd/divx player
    * ps3 hdmi (later, got one to test now)
    * pioneer 43" 436FDE plasma (1xhdmi)
    * optoma hd70 (1xhdmi, 1xcomponent)

    Do audition the Sony STR-DA3200ES. It hits most of your criteria, but you'll have to watch the following two issues:
    * I believe it only has one component output
    * I don't believe it will downconvert your HDMI sources to component out. (Upconverting component to HDMI is fine :cool: ).

    Big smiles,

    Andy.
