Before i commit to the wiring of my cinema build i have 2 options regarding position of AV kit.

1 - Use a cabinet in the room and a standard Harmony remote

2 - Install AV kit in the landing cupboard and use a Harmony Hub with blasters etc.

However my screen has a RF remote and i'd like to integrate this with the Harmony system, so which one will i need??? It's a minefield as i'm unsure if any of the remotes output RF from the handset itself because i'm leaning towards option 2.

If there are no handsets that can do this then there is the option of changing the screen control box to one of these which will give me the IR option, but if i do that and go for option 2 i'll still need IR in both the cupboard and room.

Motorised Projector Screen Control unit IR & RF remote contol Curtain Blind etc

    Can anyone help? thanks

    No universal remote uses RF.
You can use any Harmony remotely simply by adding an IR extender to the system.

That's OK, though no need for all that - you only need an extender.
