Last year I borrowed a Thomson DTI-1000 and it just about works for me - though the Freeview "computer says no (cough!)" for this part of Wokingham.

I now want to get a box of my own, but the reviews hardly mention performance with poor signal. Does anyone have any experiences in this area? I may just get another Thomson, but if there's now something better I'd prefer a bit more margin.

    Thanks for any help.

dont think there's a lot of diffrence between the various boxes regarding signal strength alan but if you know the thompson works for you go for that I myself have 2 boxes a pace & a nokia these are from the halcyon days of ondigital (remember them) and they both work great with freeview albeit a bit slow on ch'nl changes but I live in an area with fairly good signal strength
