.........would you recomend for sound quality.Im not too fussy about the rest of the spec.Anything 256mb or above is fine.I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT331 headphones and my I-bead 100 struggles to drive these(maybe asking too much of a flash player?) ,what would drive these and give good sound quality?

Sony NW-E507 - 1GB Flash, 50 hours battery life, a built in FM tuner and about the size of a pack of stick chewing gum.

I know nothing about the flash players but I like the look of this one.

Having looked further at this device I think it's stunning. If something that looks like this ever gets up to the 20GB storage range, I'll be snapping one up immediately.

    Here's a review ....

A quote from the review about the sound quality,

"So, you’ve got a device that looks stunning and has superb usability, but how does it sound? In a word, brilliant!"

Hi, I am new to this forum....but I am in the market for a 1gig flash player...something small for the summer (since I can't rely on jacket pockets).

I have narrowed my choices down to the IRiver iFP-899 and the Sony NW-E507. The only issue I have regarding the Sony is that it charges via a USB port only. Which means if I am away from a computer for any amount of time...I'm stuck. Is there any kind of AC adapter that will use a USB port for charging? I found something that might work on IRiver's website:

    https://secure1.nexternal.com/share...usType=BtoC&Count1=683254420&Count2=600394845

However, I have no idea if this is compatible with the E507 (but it would solve my issue if it did). Anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks...

Surely this would not be issue with a 50hr full battery life and the 3 min quick charge?

Sony claim that a 3 minute charge gives 3 hours playback so if you're popping out put it on charge whilst you are brushing your teeth and by the time you're done you're ready to go.

I've also seen somewhere a USB charger powered by 3 "AAA" batteries which could be an option.

Something like the following would also work when you are in the car ....

Hmmmm .... might get one of those myself actually for the NW-HD5H.
