I am looking at purchasing the Toshiba RD-XS32 as it has high reviews on this forum but I want to make sure it will meet my three main requirements which is being able to record in 16:9 from SKY to HDD then onto DVD-R, play the DVD-R's (and some DVD+R's) that I have of 'backed' up DVD movies, and can either be purchased as Multi-Region or 'hacked' in some way as I have a few Region 1, 3 & 4 discs.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated before I spend what I consider a large sum of money on a DVD recorder.

    Thanks

    Martin

I use the Tosh exactly as you describe, including playing back +R "back ups" made on my PC. Mine is multi-region and came from Richer Sounds last summer. £409 plus a 3 year guarantee.

    Thanks for the reply,

Looks like I will be ordering a Tosh soon, where is the best place to order a multi-region version?

    Martin.
