    How long are the episodes?

If you want "great editing" features you should look at a DVD-r/-rw recorder NOT a DVD+r/+rw recorder.

You should check out the latest Panasonic models as they record 4 hour LP mode with using 720x576 and not 320x??? pixels, thus you'll get better picture quality.

Also consider Pioneer's latest DVD recorders as they will record to DVD-R (dual layer) which means you should get all the episodes onto one DVD. The new Pioneer DVD recorders also have 720x576 LP mode.
