    Hi,
Does anyone own a Pioneer DV737 player? I am interested in buying one but would like to know if there is still a layer change pause present or has it been completely eliminated with this model now?

Also apart from the Pioneer DV737 can everyone state which player they own which don't pauses during the layer change.

    Many thanks

I don't think there are any that don't pause to some degree, apart from perhaps PC DVD ROMS,as I didn't notice the layer change on one of my DVD's.I was only checking DVD playback on my PC.

I have not or will watch a DVD right through on my PC DVD ROM as my Sony DVD and Philips telly are far superior.

My old Sony 525 was very quick at layer changes. On Sony discs it never paused at all.

Quickest layer change? My vote goes to the Panasonic RV60.

Reports from forums in the US indicate that the layer change on the 737 is about 2.5 seconds which is quite slow.
