    I'm considering buying either
    SONY DVP-S435 @ £168 from unbeatable or
    TOSH 210e @ £166 again from unbeatable

    to go with my KV28FQ75

Can anybody tell me which is best

Also where are the best places for multi region mods for the above DVD players ?

I've heard that the Sony player is a bit of a pig for multi region mods

If you go the choice make sure that you get a mod that doesn't need the remote shuffle to play RCE disks.

Some of them don't (home cinema heaven) and some do (techtronics - not that you find many people recommending them on this site).

Although a multiregion machine may be able to play RCE discs it can involve putting a non-RCE R1 disc into the machine and then replacing it with the RCE disc. The Toshiba supplied by Techtronics has to do this.

Another option to consider is the Pioneer 444 which a lot of people like. Personally, I own a multiregion Pioneer 545 which is superb. I got mine from Techtronics (some people don't like them though - see the thread).
