Which dvd player to buy

    Its time I replace my pioneer 444 player.
    I am looking for something with component out and ntsc progressive to feed the plasma.
    It doesnt support pal progressive I beleive so thats not an issue.

    Whats about, whats good and what can people recommend for use with the kit I have ?

    Thanks for your help in this mind blowing time of choice.

    Hi,

    Well, it depends on what your budget is. In the £200 to £300 range there is the upcoming Toshiba 530 and Sony NS930 which I believe will be NTSC and PAL progressive scan capable. Higher up,around £700 to £1000 you could consider the Toshiba 900E (oldie but goodie), the Pioneer 757Ai or the Arcam DV88+. Hope this helps.

    Pioneer 757 (£600 - NTSC prog scan) or the Harmon Kardon DVD25 ( £300 - PAL & NTSC Prog Scan)

    Thanks for the info, I am reading a lot about the hk25 being good.

    Where would be the best place to buy this.

    Anyone know anything about the new panasonic dvd s75, componenet and ntsc progressive and only £150 multiregion.

    Is the hk25 worth twice the price.

    £300 is my max spend, and then I need to get some component leads, whats good for this ?

    Type in the Panny title in full into search and a few posts discuss.
    Can't help on sellers of the HK but if you do a search on the web something is bound to come up.
