Hi...1st time poster so apologies if I've posted in the wrong place. I bought a 15" LCD TV for the kitchen but the sound is very tinny. I want to use the audio output of the sky box that is connected to this tv to amplify sound and wondered if anyone could recommend a cheap amplifier and speakers to do this job. Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

one idea could be a monitor audio i-deck, they're on sale at about £100 at the moment and have a line in for your LCD. Also you can put your ipod in there. Not exactly going to set the world on fire but a lot of bang for the buck!

    Cheers

its for a kitchen I could say a naim pre/power solution would make sky sound fantastic on the 15"LCD but it would be overkill, as would an amp in the kitchen when a small set of active speakers would probably be enough.

Alternativly any set of PC speakers would also be fine creative labs do some 2.1 setups that start from about £30 that will also be fine

How about a Sonic Impact T amp (ebay £31) and some JBL Control 1s (Richer sounds £50)?
