    Can anybody help me.

as a poor student i am trying to find the best speaker setup i can get for a very small price. i have just brought the yamaha dsp-a5 and i am now looking for a decent pair of front speakers and a good centere speaker. i noticed richersounds do floor standers for about £120 quid, the eltak liberty 5+ and the eltak titanuim. are they anygood, will they be to bassey when i add a sub. i need them for auio playback too.

they also do centers for about 40-60 quid, are they anygood. the gale centre 10 and the eltak ht2.

is their movie max setup any good, home cinema said is was rubbish with out a sub, anyone got one, with or without a sub.

Go for a set of JPW's from Richer's.

    ML 510's for fronts £60
    ML 310's for rears £50
    CC70 centre £130
    or Paradigm CC350 centre £150
(note: don't buy the newer 'i' model JPW's since they cost miles more.)

If your spending 120.00 on fronts go to richers sounds and go for the mission 702e's, these guys will work wothout a sub. If your unsure go and demo them at any hifi shop with a demo room.

I have the HT2 centre speaker from Richer Sounds and it's sounds perfectly good to me.

But I've never compared it with anything else mind you. :)

All speakers will work without a sub. But 99% - including the missions - sound better with a decent sub.
I have a few mates who have gone for cheaper speaker packages which sound great in their system - but only because they have a decent sub. One has a REL Q50, the other a REL Q100e.
It may not be practical or within your immediate budget, but believe me, a decent sub will really make a budget system sound significantly better.
(Note I always say 'decent' sub, cos there are cheap subs which don't necessarily do anything good for your sound).

    Chris,

I have just got a pair of Eltax Symphony 8.2's for Richer Sounds and they are excellent (epecially as the manager let me have them for £110 instead of £250). The only thing I would say is that they are pretty big and may now be suitable for all rooms.

I also bought an Eltax Symphony centre which is also very good.
