    Hi

I'm in the market for a ceiling mount, that needs to come down a fair way, but also be easily retractable. I don't want to put my JVC projector on one of the cheap flimsy ones on ebay / amazon. What mounts / brands should I be looking at?

How do you mean "retractable"? Sounds like you're looking more for a projector lift than a projector mount, as mounts are not usually retractable.

If you are just after a standard mount, Peerless mounts can go on the end of a pole (either fixed length or adjustable) which can give extra drop. I like my Peerless mount. The Peerless mounts mate nice and easily, meaning it is an easy job for one person of reasonable strength to get a PJ in / out of the mount mechanism.
