Looking to purchase a minidv camcorder for under £300.

Must have AV input as is to be used in connection with an existing microcam for bike trackdays and other sporting events. Will also be used for motion filming while hand held (skiing/snowboarding) or machine mounted (motorcycling).

Also likely to be used for the usual family events, holidays, etc but this has been the secondary purpose of the old Hi8 camera.

    Have found the following models:

    Canon MV800 @ £235 at ajelectronics

    JVC GR-D270 @ £270 at comet.co.uk

    Canon MV830i @ £285 at dabs

Which of these is the best value?

I have not been able to find any reviews at all of the JVC, does anyone know anything about its performance/quality?

Is there a model out there that I have missed, but should be considering?

    Thanks
