Ive currently fot my DVD player connected via ths standard scart lead to my Plasma. Been told this is not adequate.

NOw I could go and buy a proper £60-£70 scart lead.

However Ive noticed more connections at the back of the DVD player. Are these RGB?

Does this give better quailty? If so, how much should I pay for a set and which ones are best?

What type of player have you got? Are the extra connections red/green/blue phono sockets? If so its a component video connection which would be superior to a RGBs scart as a RCA connection although not ideal is far better than the rather naff scart connector :) Also component video is the method used to store the picture inforamtion on a DVD. You will need a component video cable with three RCA connectors at either end, excellent quality ones are available in the poer buy section of this forum from Mark Grant
