    Apologies if this is in the wrong place but it seemed the most logical;

I would like any recomendations for a dvd burner for my PC (internal).

    I need:

duel format +/-, Ram, duel layer and multi region.

Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.

    Thanks

I have a Pioneer DVR-108. Its been great never had a single problem with it.

Be sure to get the lateest firmware if you buy one.

As far as I can see neither of those support writing to ram, I'd go for an either and LG 4120 or 4160 (the 4120 supports bit settiing.. I don't think the 4160 does).

both 4120 and 4160 can be made region free from here
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=16

however you can use something like 'DVD Region+CSS Free' http://www.dvdidle.com/

which lets you watch(etc) RPC-2 drives without having to muck with the firmware (and it really works!)

    have fun
    Steve

    Thanks for the help.
Yeah I do really prefer the Ram option so i can edit my Sky + data.

I like the look of the LG and it should fit the bill nicely.

I just want something that I can mod to multi region without hassle.

I've already been lumbered with a drive in my laptop that can't be modded and is stuck on RPC2.

    Cheers
