    Hello

I have the Pioneer-420. Same machine except for dv link. I use TDK, Verbatim and Ridisc -RW. Have never had a duff recording. All perfect. For -R I use Ridisc 4x and 8x and Datawrite 8x (the one that is supposed to be indestructible). Have done many, many recordings and have never had a coaster.

Got my Pioneer 520 being delivered on Monday. I know that dvd+r dual layer disks have been around for a while but this machine uses dvd-r dual layer. Havent been able to find any suppliers yet - can anyone help with suggestions and at a reasonable price.

added: sorry got my model numbers mixed up its 530 and not 520. Sorry for any confusion but if anyone can help with the disks Id be grateful.

I also have the 420, I exclusively use Verbatim 4x -RWs and these have worked with no problems whatsoever. As the price of the Verbatims is not excessive i recommend going for these over any cheaper alternative.

I have a Pio 520 and have been using Traxdata 8x DVD-R, no coasters yet and they cost me £7.50 for 25 from my local computer shop.

Got a Pioneer DVR-420H and I use Datawrite 8x DVD-R on both my PC and DVD Recorder and share recordings between the two using Datasafe DVD-RW's with no problems.

I use http://svp.co.uk/ to get my media. They have always been reliable and provide good customer service.
