    Hi all,

I have Kef Q35 fronts, Q95c centre and Q15 rears.

I'm after a decent DVD player and AV amp (only 5.1 required) and don't really know what to go for. Budget is about 250 pounds for each i suppose.

What works well with Kef speakers? I'm a big fan of Denon kit.

    Any help is appreciated!

You could look at the Yamaha DVDS661 and RXV461 if you were interested in a DAB tuner, if not, try the DSPAX761.

From Denon's range, look at the DVD1940 (forget the 1740, the 1940 is far superior) and an AVR1708.

Both of these manufacturers will work well with the KEF's, but we'd avoid recommending entry level amplifiers with the Q35's. They may be a few years old, but they're still a good speaker, and the better the amp you drive them with, the better they'll sound. Put anything under par in the system, and they'll perform more like a £100 standmount speaker.
