Before we start, Im not talking about the albums which you think are the best. No, Im talking about the albums you pick up and put on time and time again, doesnt matter if they are rated or not. The type of album thats like a well worn pair of shoes, not the latest in your collection, just stuff that finds its way back on to your cd player time and time again, regardless of age.

    I shall start this off

Yes - Close to the Edge
    Metallica - Masters of Puppets
Meat Puppets - The meat puppets II
Vaselines - Way of the Vaselines
    The Music - The Music
    Hell is for Heroes
    Jeff Buckley- Grace
    Eva Cassidy- Songbird
    King Crimson - USA
    Sugar - Copper Blue
    Nirvana- Unplugged and In utero
    Stone Roses- The Stone Roses
    Pixies - Surfa Rosa
    Rival Schools
    Slayer - South of Heaven
    Underworld-A hundred days off
    Killing Joke- Killing Joke
    The Doors-The Doors
    Love- Forever Changes
    Radiohead-OK computer

Apologies to those I have missed out

It's the only one I'm interested in that I haven't already got. It's a real classic from my mispent teen years and accompanied my lady and me on many a "cosmic journey" :zonked:;). It's kind of like a bit of a holy grail as it's more or less the only one that hasn't been reissued countless times and so it's harder to find. Which is a bit of a bummer as my crap tape is just about worn out

Being the cheapskate that I am, I refuse to pay above "a fair price" for anything. If I can't pick a CD up for a tenner or less, my wallet refuses to open. Once I find someone that's got a CD rather than a vinyl copy I'll tap them for a CDR (if they'll let me) but til then I'll just have to go on as I am...

thanks anyway though, tomson and adox:D

For old CD’s try www.secondspin.com they do not have the hawkwind in at the moment but keep an eye out, it is a US site so you have to order a couple to make the postage worth while but it can still be a bargain.

    Back to the Question
    Pearl Jam 10
    Nora Jones
Miles Davis Kind of Blue (No I’m not a Jazz Junkie)
    Five For Fighting America Town
    Tom Jones Reload
    Moby Play
    Santana Supernatural
    Sheryl Crow – Anything
    Tracy Chapman
    Counting Crows
    Dogs Eye View

I could go on but the list will change in five minutes Just getting into Eagle Eye Cherry, and Anastasia bit poppy but a great voice.

You probably already know about it but if you ever wonder if an album is worth buying try www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/r2music they have 30second snippets of each track on huge number of albums.

Remember, its not about albums you think are the best, it might be the Smurfs or even Will Young, doesnt matter as long as its something you always return to again and again.
