Which amp

    Want to upgrade to Dolby EX. Have approx £800 to spend.

    Thought of the Denon 3802 but are there any other options. Where is a god place to buy?

    All it will be useed for is AV although at party time may use but then when your pi$$ed who gives a sh$t about music quality :D

    You should look at the denon 3802. It has all the features you are looking for inc dts-es discrete and PL2. This amp gives some in the higher price range a run for there money. Or as an alternative you should be able to pick up a Yamaha ax-1, which has plenty of features, and was at one stage priced at £2k.

    draw up a short list, by spending 30 mins browsing the web..then get your ass out of the house, and get down to your local dealer, and demo some kit, its the only way to buy kit you want to be 100% happy with.

    I can see you are not after the ultimate gear, so, save yourself a lot of grief and trouble, and just buy the Denon 3802...

    Of course there are alternatives, I for one, prefer the Onkyo 797, but it will take you very long finding out why, for almost no difference...

    It does what you need, it is popular amongst the "experts", what else do you need... :p
