Hi. I am running a cd62t cdp and a pair of wharfedale diamond 9.1 speakers and I am looking for an amp to compliment these.

I have auditioned an alpha 5 from my father in law and whilst that dos offer some magnificent staging and mid-presence, I do feel that in the mid-bass area I am losing presence (even sections of bass arguably).

I am looking to buy second hand so was wondering if an Alpha 8, an Alpha 9 or a Diva A65 would be my best bet?

    Any other ideas welcomed. :lease:
    Thanks. Phil.

I would think the Alpha 9 would be best bet for overall sound.

    Welcome to the forum Phil.

I am sure webhammer is right, but I would also add:

    1. I have used Alpha 8 amp with Diamond 8.1 (using Alpha 7SE CD) and found the result very impressive for the price- both in a medium and in a very large room, various kinds of music.

    2. The Diva series would be more suitable visually.
